Extended applause for students and faculty members performing at Burg Rothenfels for the Historical Dance Symposium dedicated to Barbara Sparti
On 27 May the Castle of Burg Rothenfels (Bavaria, Germany) hosted – within the 4th Historical Dance Symposium entitled Dance in Italy, Italian Dance in Europe, 1400 – 1900 and dedicated to the memory of Barbara Sparti (1932-2013) – the performance Occhi ridenti. Music, song and dance between Cinquecento and early Seicento, a co-production by Accademia Nazionale di Danza (also endorsing the Symposium), Conservatorio “Luisa D’Annunzio” – Pescara present with its Recorder Consort, and Accademia di Belle Arti – L’Aquila that has made the costumes. The performance has drawn extended applause from the international audience formed by amateurs as well as by scholars and specialists in historical dancing and early music.
