An opportunity for young players of historical instruments

Since its foundation during the 1985 European Music Year, the European Union Baroque Orchestra has provided young musicians with a unique opportunity to train through intensive rehearsal periods and concert tours with an orchestra specialized in the baroque repertory. After one year of interruption in the courses due to a change in the rules for European Community financial support, this year the orchestra launches a new European larger scale cooperation project EUBO Mobile Baroque Academy (EMBO) featuring two residential audition-courses – each one lasting three days and located in Echternach (Luxembourg) – the first one from 29 July to 1 August and the second from 1 to 4 August 2015.
Applicant musicians – players of violins, violas, cellos, double basses, oboes, bassoons or harpsichords (baroque instrument tuned at A=415Hz) – must be EU nationals born after 1 January 1985. At the end of the courses members of EMBO 2015 will be selected and will take part in concert tours and other activities from September 2015 to May 2016, under the direction of Music Director Lars Ulrik Mortensen and other artists. It’s possible to apply from 30 April to 10 July 2015 filling the form at this link: http://www.eubo.eu/EUBO/courses.
