The ensemble invites application for the position of Co-Principal Cello

London based Orchestra of The Age of Enlightenment (OAE), mainly devoted to late Baroque, Classical and Romantic repertory, has announced a selection process, by audition and trial, for the post of Co-Principal Cello. Experience in historically informed performance is essential. The official announcement is available at this link.
The pitch OAE plays at is A=415 for the Baroque repertory and A=430 for the Classical one. OAE, now in its 30th season, produces about 100 concerts per year. Some of its principal positions are shared, which can allow principal players to specialise in but not necessarily confine themselves to different areas of repertoire. Co-Principal players are expected to divide the scheduled work between them, so that the majority of projects are covered.
Highly qualified and experienced candidates should e-mail a covering letter and CV to:
Sarah Irving, sarah.irving@oae.co.uk
Deadline for applications: 25 January 2016
