On Saturday 19 January the celebrations will feature a study conference, the presentation of a book by Maestro Testa and a dance performance by the students of the Accademia

The celebrations for the 90th birthday of renowned dancer, choreographer, dance organizer, critic, historian and collector Maestro Alberto Testa – promoted by the Accademia Nazionale di Danza and by AIRDanza (Associazione Italiana per la Ricerca sulla Danza) in collaboration with Università degli Studi di Torino, Crud (Centro Regionale Universitario per la Danza “Bella Hutter”), Città di Torino, Biblioteche Civiche Torinesi and Teatro Regio di Torino – will be held next 19 January at the Teatro Ruskaja in the magnificent seat of the Accademia.
The official greetings by Margherita Parrilla, Director of AND, and by Patrizia Veroli, President of AIRDanza, will be followed by the study conference Il libretto di ballo – Storia, forme e interpretazioni di una scrittura in movimento (The dance libretto – History, forms and interpretation of a writing in motion) organized by AIRDanza and divided in two sessions (10.30–12.30AM and 2.30–4.00PM) with communications by dance historians, scholars and researchers. At 5.30PM the latest work by the guest of honour, the book Sulla danza. Memorie, riflessioni (Piretti Editore, 2013) will be presented.
At 6.30PM the Accademia Nazionale di Danza will offer as a tribute to its former professor the performance of excerpts from Don Quixote, The sleeping Beauty and The Nutcracker.
