Melbourne Conservatorium will select a Lecturer in Early Music Scholarship and Performance
A post of Lecturer/Senior Lecturer requiring specific experience in Early Music Scholarship and Performance is being offered by the University of Melbourne (application deadline is December 16 – see info at the link jobs.unimelb.edu.au). […] The appointee will be expected to make a significant contribution to the teaching, coordination and provision of the undergraduate and graduate music programs of the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music (MCM), maintain an active research profile, and attract high quality students into the Honours, Masters and PhD programs in both musicology and artistic performance, focusing on musical culture and repertoire from the period ca1550-1800.
Melbourne Conservatorium of Music – active in the field of historically informed music performance since the 70’s – has founded in 1996 the Early Music Studio to consolidate its long-standing commitment to excellence in early music and has hosted over the years as guest lecturers such distinguished artists as Andrew Lawrence-King, Jordi Savall and Hopkinson Smith.
