Fabio Menditto started his musical studies with Maestro Ugo Orlandi at the Padua Conservatory “Cesare Pollini”, where he obtained his diploma with brlilliant marks. He conducts an intense artistic activity as a performer as well as a teacher. As a soloist he has played for chamber and orchestral ensembles for important Italian musical Institutions (Teatro dell’Opera di Roma, Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, Orchestra Sinfonica della RAI, Accademia Filarmonica Romana, etc.). Abroad he has performed many concerts in Spain, France, Austria, Switzerland, Germany, Slovakia, Greece, Pakistan, Portugal, South Korea. He has recorded several early music CD’s for the French label “P: Verany” and a monographic record about R. Calace for the label “Qbforme”. Dedicated to the re-discovery and performance of music originally composed for mandolin and plucked instrument orchestra, he has been artistic director of Circolo Mandolinistico Costantino Bertucci. He collaborated with RAI for radio programs concerning the cultured music repertory for mandolin. He is professor of Mandolin at the Naples Conservatory “San Pietro a Majella” and has held international masterclasses for Accademia Leonardo da Vinci at Catanzaro, for Centro Musicale Calabrese “Francesco Cilea” and abroad for Società Artistica Rojana at Logrono (Spain). He has edited several publications about the original mandolin repertory, among which an anthology of compositions for voice and mandolin for the publisher FLATUS ad the method La moderna scuola del mandolino for the publisher “Qbforme”.
