Academia Montis Regalis auditions for its 22nd Classical & Baroque Orchestra Course

Scholarships will be awarded to study at Mondovì in 2015

Up to 21 october it’s possible to apply for the selections that will take place on 21 and 22 november 2014 at Mondovì (Northern Italy). Candidates must be born after 1st January 1982 and will compete for 13 scholarships offered for the following instruments:

  • 7 violins
  • 2 violas da braccio
  • 2 cellos
  • 1 double bass
  • 1 harpsichord

Candidates must play on a baroque instrument with gut strings and appropriate bow, tuned at A = 415 Hz. A Continuo accompanist will be supplied by the Academia on request.

The course – held by Olivia Centurioni, Alessandro De Marchi, Ophelie Gaillard,Thibault Noally and Luigi Mangiocavallo  – will take place between March and August 2015, subdivided in five study sessions – each lasting from five to sixteen days – held at monthly intervals with a final concert for each session. Selected candidates will be awarded a gross sum of 2000,00 euros, plus boarding during the study sessions and a contribution towards travel expenses.
