Scholarships will be awarded to study at Mondovì in 2014
Up to 21 octtober it’s possible to apply for the selections that will take place on 12 and 13 november 2013 at Mondovì (Northern Italy). Candidates must be born before 1st January 1981 and will compete for 13 scholarships offered for the following instruments:
- 8 violins
- 2 violas da braccio
- 2 cellos
- 1 double bass
Candidates must bring a baroque instrument with gut strings and appropriate bow, tuned at A = 415 Hz. A Continuo accompanist will be supplied by the Accademia on request.
The course – held by Olivia Centurioni and Alessandro De Marchi – will take place between March and August 2014 and will be subdivided in five study sessions – each lasting from five to sixteen days – held at monthly intervals, with a final concert for each session. Successful candidates will be awarded a gross sum of 2000.00 euros, plus boarding during the study sessions and a contribution towards travel expenses.
