Umberto Giovannini will teach at The Art Academy in London on March 24 & 25
Umberto Giovannini is a visiting artist at Art Academy Print. He is a Master printer with twenty years experience of the camaieu and chiaroscuro European woodcut techniques. The course offers two days of woodcut in a western tradition, focusing on colour using oil based inks and following in the footsteps of renowned artists Albrecht Durer, Edvard Munch and Paul Cezanne. Suitable for students seeking to develop their basic printmaking skills.
AAP studio is a low–toxic environment with professional printmaking facilities and a hands–on learning experience for a maximum of 8 students per course.
Language: Italian/English
Teaching Strategy: The class will be based on demonstrations, instruction and studio practice.
Preparation: Students should bring ideas, sketchbooks, writing & drawing tools.
Materials: There are no additional student materials fees for AAP courses.
