An opportunity to approach the method or to advance one’s knowledge
From August 21st to 26th the Associazione Italiana Jaques-Dalcroze organizes at Chiusi (near Siena in Tuscany) – in collaboration with the Mayoralty of Chiusi and with the patronage of the Province of Siena – its fifth summer course, a full immersion in the method developed by the Swiss pedagogist at the beginning of the 20th century. This method, still today an important reference point for the didactics of music, is based on the natural body rhythm in relation with parameters such as space, time and energy. Eurhythmics, solfege and improvisation will thus be the proposed subjects, together with pedagogics, in a path that features group activities finalized to the development of body awareness and coordination and of vocal and instrumental performing capacities. The teachers will be: Louisa Di Segni-Jaffé, Karin Greenhead, Paul Hille, Susanne Martinet, Sabine Oetterli, Ruth Gianadda and Ava Loiacono.
The course will also feature didactic evenings with projection of videos, pedagogical exchanges and music and dance entertainment.
