General information and fees

Programs in Italian are available (in Italian) at this link. Feel free to e-mail us for specific information or use the contact form at the end of this page. The final students’ performance will see the participation of music and dance courses together. Students that are already enrolled in one course may also attend individual lessons of another course with a supplementary charge (see below).

Registration & insurance fee

• with advance payment up to June 30^th 60.00 euros
• with advance payment after June 30^th 120.00 euros

Deadline extended: since June 30 is a bank holiday, it’s possible to make the advance payment on Monday July 2 and still take advantage of the reduced registration fee.

Members of specified Schools and Societies with a reduction agreement and students enrolled in more than one course are entitled to a discount of 40.00 euros.

Tuition fees

The basic tuition fee for singing and instrument courses covers individual lessons, collective lessons and the Qi Gong Seminar. The fee for dancing courses covers the collective lessons and the Qi Gong Seminar.

Principal courses:

• Music courses (singing or instrument, inclusive of ensemble workshop and – for singers – of Rhetorical Gesture): 270.00 euros
• Dancing courses (12 hours): 140.00 euros

Supplementary courses:

• Six individual singing or instrument lessons (30 minutes each): 180.00 euros
• Rhetorical Gesture Seminar: 90.00 euros

Registration and payments

The registration fee plus 50% of all tuition fees must be paid in advance by bank transfer to the account 8660-2799 at Monte dei Paschi di Siena (European IBAN bank code: IT 42 L 01030 03260 000000279928 – BIC: PASCITM1R33 ) in the name of “Il Teatro della Memoria”, or by money order to: Il Teatro della Memoria – c/o Toschi – via Gradoli, 56 – 00189 Roma (Italy). In order to save on bank transfer charges, be sure to choose the “shared charges” option. For residents outside the Euro area, payments are also accepted by credit card: go to this page.

After the advance payment has been sent, fill the form on the registration page. A copy of the bank transfer or of the money order must arrive not later than July 2nd:

The balance must be paid before the beginning of the courses.

Cancellation

The advance payment won’t be refunded in case of cancellation after June 30th. If the cancellation (to be made exclusively through the dedicated page) arrives before June 30th, the amount paid will be refunded with a deduction of 60.00 euros.

Maximum number of students

• singing or instrument courses: maximum 10 per course
• dance courses: maximum 16 per course

Students will be enrolled according to the order of arrival of the registration forms. Those that cannot be admitted because the maximum has been reached will be promptly informed, and the amount paid will be refunded, unless they want to enroll in another course. The Direction reserves the right to modify the programs. The courses for which the minimum number of registrations will not be reached will be cancelled, and the amount paid will be refunded.

Check-in and location

The check-in desk will be open on July 28^th from 3.30 to 7.00 PM. The courses will be hosted by the Scuola Popolare di Musica di Testaccio at Piazza Giustiniani 4/a (the historical Testaccio slaughterhouse) in a central area well connected by subway (Metro B line – station Piramide), local train (station Roma Ostiense – for timetables see trenitalia.com) tramway or bus (website: atac.roma.it).

Health & emergencies info

Registered students are insured against accidents during lessons with a maximum cover of 50,000.00 euros. Check with your health insurance company or your national health system about coverage in Italian hospitals in case of illness. Most EU member states have arrangements that admit the citizens of one state in the public hospitals of another free of charge. If you have any doubts, contact us and we’ll try to find information on the arrangements with your country and the documents you need. Emergency treatment (“Pronto Soccorso”) at public hospitals is free except for minor illnesses (white triage code) that are subject to a fixed fee (“ticket”) of 25.00 euros. In serious cases don’t hesitate to call the emergency phone number 112.
