Tomorrow begins The Royal Greenwich International Early Music Festival and Exhibition 2014

In the impressive building of the Old Royal Naval College at Greenwich – a few yards from the Royal Observatory that hosts Meridian Zero – tomorrow 13 november will start the Royal Greenwich International Early Music Festival and Exhibition 2014,  promoted by The Early Music Shop, the Greenwich Foundation and Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance.  Core of this three day event is the exhibition, one of the largest in this field at the international level with about 100 exhibitors (see the list at a this link), featuring also four Italian names: Bizzi Clavicembali, Luca De Paolis, Marco Salerno and Giovanni Tardino.

Running in parallel with the Exhibition, the Festival features  masterclasses, recitals, demonstrations by makers and concerts with names such as I Fagiolini, Brecon Baroque, Pamela Thorby, Sir John Eliot Gardiner, Emma Murphy with Ibrahim Aziz, Steven Devine and David Gould, Trinity Laban Soloists and Baroque Orchestra with Adrian Butterfield, Philomel, Fretwork, Ensemble DeNote (see the complete program).
